I meant to post these pics a while ago, but forgot. Then the boys and I suffered our first scootering accident on Wednesday (note to self, do not slam on the front brakes, you WILL be pulled over the handle bars at high speeds) I'm fine now, but have some awesome bruises and a very sore knee. It was my fault as i over reacted trying to keep Koda away from a pedestrian. Oh well, live and learn. I'll be going back out again probably on Saturday.
Anyway, the following pics are from Friday January 23.
I rode the bike around the first lap with my sister, Tasha, on the scooter. (Trophy is in red Koda in blue if you can't tell them apart lol). Then I stopped and we sent the boys around again w/o a "rabbit" on a bike to follow.
They really love to run
Third lap (.9 miles)
We're slowing them down to take a small break and get some water. They still want to go!
(notice how they're in exact opposite step?)
Ok, after our break. Tasha is the "rabbit" on the bike and I rode the scooter. My dad took these two pics.
Not the best picture of me ever... i need bangs of some sort, but blowing wind doesn't cooperate with glamor shots. lol. :)
After a couple laps and another break they boys were still running FAST. Their hearts were in this run 147%! So my sister still rode as the "rabbit" and we sent my dad around on the scooter!
wavin' to the camera!
The boys ran just over two miles that day! Not bad at all! I can't wait till spring to hit some of the trails (after i invest in a helmet and some knee/elbow pads!!) :)
I just want to end by saying THANK YOU! To Mona and her Mommy for featuring Qwill and our blog on her "String of Friendship" section! Thank you and welcome to everyone who has meandered into our little blog from there! :)
This looks like a blast. What a great way to tire the dogs and burn through some cabin fever.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! We want to scooter but I don't think Tucker and Oscar could pull our mom around. They are way too little. SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! We are tired of seeing snow and are ready for some warmer temperatures! Thanks for visiting our blog. We'll visit yours often.
